Safely Share Chicken Wings With Your Dogs

You don't have to waste a perfectly good chicken wing, just because the dogs shouldn't chew the thin small bones (which can get caught in their throats. There's a way for humans and dogs to enjoy wings.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • chicken wings - prepared anyway you like them.
  • pot
  • water
  1. Step 1

Eat your chicken wings, and discard the bones in a container. If you don't eat the chicken wing tips, add them to the container. - Put discarded bones and tips into a pot and fill it with water. Boil until the excess meat and gristle (tips of the bone) fall off.

  2. Step 2

Let it cool down. Then separate the gristle and any meat from the bones. Discard the bones into the garbage. If you have wing tips, keep them in the pot. They should be very soft at this point.

  3. Step 3

Once you've discarded all of the bones. You can mix it with dog food an serve it to the dogs. - Depending on how you prefer to mix the dog food. You can also add some of the water that you boiled the chicken in, and make chicken dog food stew. - They'll love it.

Tips & Warnings
  • You don't have to cook it on high. You can cook it slowly if you have the time. The point is to get the gristle and meat completely of the bones.
  • Make sure you remove all bones.
