Creating a snapshot of a web page can be a useful tool for both business and personal use. It can also be very helpful if you are creating your own website. When you take a snapshot of a web page, you save all of the information from that website as it appears at the time you make the snapshot. This includes more in-depth information, such as HTML code and other links on the web page. Here are two different ways to create a snapshot of a web page.

Using IE Snap

Step 1

Download the trial version of IE Snap. To do so, visit the IE Snap web page (follow the link in Resources) and click on the "Download" link.
Step 2

Install the trial version of IE Snap.
Step 3

Open Internet Explorer.
Step 4

Go to the web page that you'll be making into a snapshot.
Step 5

Click on the "Tools" option at the top of the browser.
Step 6

Click "IE Snap." A dialog box will open. Choose a destination for your snapshot.
Step 7

Select "Save" and your snapshot will be saved.

Using WebPageSnapshot

Step 1

Visit the WebPageSnapshot website. (Follow the link in Resources.) Download the demo version by clicking the "Download" link at the bottom of the page.
Step 2

Install the demo version of WebPageSnapshot.
Step 3

Visit the web page that you want to make into a snapshot.
Step 4

Copy the URL.
Step 5

Open the WebPageSnapshot program.
Step 6

Paste the URL into the "URL" text box in the program window. In the "File" text box, you can choose where to save the file.
Step 7

Click "Go" and the snapshot will be created. This may take about 30 seconds, depending on the website.
