How to Do A Print Screen in Windows XP
Sometimes you wish you could just capture what's being shown on your computer screen for someone else to see. For example, it would be great to send a screen shot to your tech guy every time your log in fails and you get an error message. You can.

Look at the upper right-hand section of your keyboard. Find the print screen button. Some keyboards spell it out, while others say either "PRTSC" or "PRTSCN."

2
Press the "PRINT SCREEN," "PRTSC" or "PRTSCN" button (whichever is applicable to your keyboard) to capture the image of your computer screen.

-
4
Paste the print screen capture into the application by clicking your mouse onto the page and either hitting your "CTRL" + "V" keys or right-clicking your mouse and selecting "Paste."

Tips & Warnings
If hitting the print screen command on your keyboard alone doesn't capture the screen's image, try "CTRL" + "PRINT SCREEN" to copy the image onto the clipboard. If you have a laptop with no print screen button at all, try "FN" + "INSERT."
