Things You'll Need:
- holiday cookie cutters
- parchment paper or cardboard
- pencil
- scissors
- tape
- holiday ice cube trays
- candy molds
- silicone muffin pans
-
Step 1
Holiday cookie cutters can be used to make soap molds. Since they don't have a back, you will need to trace the shape onto parchment paper, card stock, index cards, or other light cardboard. Cut out the cardboard, and tape it securely to the bottom of the cookie cutter. You now have a holiday soap mold. Simply pour your soap into the mold, and let your soap set as usual.
-
Step 2
Holiday ice cube trays make good soap molds. Since they are flexible, it is easy to get the soap out once it has hardened in the molds.
-
Step 3
Candy molds make good soap molds, too. Since these molds are seasonal, it is best to look for Thanksgiving molds sometime in September or October.
-
Step 4
Silicone muffin pans make good soap molds, too. You can find these pans in many holiday shapes, including turkeys and pumpkins.
-
Step 5
You can add holiday impressions to bars of soap. Let the soap bar begin to gel but not harden completely. Then press holiday images into the soap using stamp pads in various holiday shapes.
