Select photos that have dark or vivid colors, and artwork that has clean lines. The best wallpapers have quiet spaces where icons can rest and stay visible. If the picture is too busy or too light, it can be hard to see the icons.

Sign up for accounts at wallpaper buying/sharing/selling sites such as Myxer or Customtonez. There you can upload the art you want to sell, set your prices, and even buy from fellow artists. You will need to sign up for a Paypal account to get paid.
Step 3

You can also sell wallpapers directly on your own website. Log in to your Paypal account to create shopping cart and check out buttons. This makes it easy for your customers to buy from you, and thus easy for you to make money.
Step 4

Make sure that any images you sell are not protected by someone else's copyright. Sell only your own images, or at least pictures that are in the public domain.
Step 5

You can attract more business by offering promotions or special deals. Generate buzz around your wallpapers with 2-for-1 deals, or giving away a free ringtone (that you created) with your wallpapers.
