Make a Toaster Cheese Sandwich

Kids tend to eat the same thing all the time. Their food seems to center around cheese, chicken nuggets, and peanut butter. If your kids want a grilled cheese sandwich and you don't feel like dirtying the frying pan, this recipe will allow you to make a cheese sandwich using the toaster instead of the frying pan.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Get 2 pieces of bread and toast them in the toaster. You can use regular white sandwich bread or any other type of bread, as long as it will fit in the toaster. You can butter the bread before or after toasting. If you want to be more health conscious, leave the butter out.

  2. Step 2

Once the bread is done toasting, put a slice of cheese between the bread. You can use traditional American cheese or you can use any other type, perhaps provolone or cheddar.

  3. Step 3

If you would like the cheese more melted, simply put the sandwich on a microwave safe plate and "nuke" it for about 10-20 seconds. That's it. Wasn't that easy? And best of all it was made in less time than a traditional grilled cheese sandwich and only dirtied one plate.

  4. Step 4

If you want to be really fancy, consider getting panini press, also called a panini grill or a panini maker. These are basically a small appliance that has 2 grill plates that you cook a sandwich in between.
