Did you just go out and purchase a Bluetooth device for your cell phone or received one as a gift and don't know how to set it up? After you have made sure that your cell phone has the Bluetooth feature and it’s capable of connecting to the model that you own, then you’re half of the way there! Follow these simple steps and you’ll have your Bluetooth setup in seconds and start talking on the phone hands free!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1
    Check for Bluetooth Capability
     
    Check for Bluetooth Capability

    Check your cell phone's owners manual to be sure that your cell phone has the Bluetooth feature available.

  2. Step 2

    Check the Bluetooth device to make sure that it's compatible with the make/model cell phone that you're using.

  3. Step 3

    Turn the power to the "on" position on the Bluetooth device.

  4. Step 4

    Click on the "Menu" tab on your phone and scroll down to "Settings & Tools", then click on "Bluetooth Menu".

  5. Step 5

    Click on "Add New Device", then your cell phone will search for the Bluetooth Device.

  6. Step 6

    The type of Bluetooth that you own will appear on the menu screen. (ex. Motorola H685) Then you want to click "Pair" and click "Ok".

  7. Step 7

    Once you click on Pair, it may ask for a password if your cell phone is password protected. The password is either 0000 or 1234. Enter the password into the blank trying 0000 first and click "Ok".

  8. Step 8

    Your Bluetooth device is now successfully paired! It will ask you if you want to connect to the Bluetooth device, click yes.

  9. Step 9
    Enjoy talking hands free on your Bluetooth!

Tips & Warnings
  • Check your cell phone's owners manual to be sure that your cell phone has the Bluetooth feature available.
