Things You'll Need:
- An Internet connection
- An Evernote account
-
Step 1
Complete the simple registration form to sign up with Evernote. You'll be sent a confirmation code by email that you must enter to complete the registration.
-
Step 2
There is a free version of this service. You can sign up for the premium service, which is only $5 a month. The premium service offers more storage and faster image recognition.
-
Step 3
The image recognition function at Evernote is really helpful. For example, suppose you save images of business cards while attending a conference; Evernote can read and recognize words in the images like a person's name or job title, and this information becomes searchable when you go back later to look for it.
-
Step 4
You can access your stored information on your desktop computer, on your phone or on the Web. When you are online you can copy information into your Evernote account with one click. If you are not online you can email photos or text to your Evernote account. You'll find the email address you need to use when you set up the Account Settings after getting registered.
-
Step 5
You can attach PDF files and audio files to your notes.
-
Step 6
Evernote Account OverviewHere's an image of my brand new account, with only one note in it. As you can see, you can create tags and attributes for your notes. This will help you find it later and will associate ideas with the note that will help you keep track of what the information is about. You can also see options that allow the user to Edit, Delete, Print or Email the information in the note.

Step 7
The only step left is to start saving and using all the information that floods your life. Get organized!
