Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A Computer
  • Internet Access
  • Time to Write Paid Blog Entries Each Day or on a Frequent, Regular Basis
  1. Step 1

VISIT TODAY.COM: Today.com is a paid blogging website. The paid bloggers on this site must be approved via the VIP Blogger Program. Once approved for the program, bloggers will receive $1 per each 100+ word blog entry, with a limit of one paid blog entry per day. The real earning potential comes from page views, also known as "impressions." Today.com bloggers are paid $2.00 per every 1,000 impressions.

  2. Step 2

CLICK THE LINK FOR "APPLY TO THE VIP BLOGGER PROGRAM:" At the very bottom of the Today.com homepage, there is a link that says "Apply to VIP Blogger Program." Click this link to get started on your application to become a paid blogger with Today.com.

  3. Step 3

ENTER THE INFORMATION UNDER PART 1 OF THE PAID BLOGGER APPLICATION: The first step requires VIP blogger applicants to enter a username, password, e-mail address, and a name for the blog. The name for the blog should be relevant to the topic that you plan to blog about. The most successful blogs are about one particular topic, with each blog entry focusing on one particular keyword. Once you're done entering the information, click "Continue to Next Step."

  4. Step 4

ENTER THE INFORMATION UNDER PART 2 OF THE PAID BLOGGER APPLICATION: On the second part of the application, you will need to enter your personal information, including paypal e-mail address, home address, phone number, and a blog writing sample -OR- an explanation about why you'd like to become a paid blogger with Today.com. You'll also need to agree to the terms of service.

  5. Step 5

SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION TO BECOME A PAID BLOGGER WITH TODAY.COM: Once you've entered all the necessary information, submit your application to become a paid blogger with the Today.com VIP blogger program. It may be as long as seven days before you hear back on whether or not your application is accepted.

  6. Step 6

ONCE YOU'RE APPROVED, START BLOGGING! Once you get approved as a Today.com VIP blogger, get ready to earn money blogging! The key to earning money as a blogger is to write a topical blog, with frequent entries, each focusing on a particular keyword phrase. You can also use your blog to promote your writing on other websites. See the related link under "resources" for more information on using a blog as a promotional tool!

Tips & Warnings
  • Write daily! You can only submit one paid blog entry per day, so make sure you take advantage of this! If you fail to submit a blog entry, you'll miss out on getting paid for that entry.
  • Keep a couple extra blog posts on file as back-ups. If you're having a busy day and don't have time to write a blog entry, post one of your back-up blog posts so you can collect your earnings for that day.
  • If you feel like writing more than one blog post, by all means do so! But only after you've put aside a few "emergency" blog articles that can be posted if you don't have time to write on a particular day!
  • Blogging can be addictive! And the site tools for customizing your new Today.com blog can easily suck up a couple hours of your time - it can be hard to pull yourself away from your new blog!
