Stand-Up Forklift Training

There are approximately 55,800 stand-up forklift drivers in the United States and employment growth for this occupation is expected to remain stable. Forklift drivers perform a variety of tasks including raising and lowering forks to stack items in warehouses. They are also responsible for transporting products to and from areas of factories and shipping terminals.       Apply for apprenticeships. Private companies and unions offer forklift apprenticeships. These positions are typically paid and can turn into full-time employment. Contact the International Union of Operating Engineers for positions available in your area.
