This method will save you a lot of aggravation and get your DVD working in as little as 5 minutes with this home remedy to clean your DVD's.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • DVD
  • Toothpaste
  • kleenex
  • Water (less than 1 tsp.)
  1. Step 1

Take your everyday toothpaste and place a pea size amount on your finger

  2. Step 2

Lightly spread the toothpaste on the reflective side of the DVD. Be careful not to make it to thick. Just a very thin layer is sufficient.
Cover the entire DVD. You may need a bit more or less toothpaste. Use your discretion.

  3. Step 3

Once the DVD is covered take a tissue(Kleenex) and begin wiping the toothpaste off. Wipe it off in the shape of the DVD. Don't wipe across, down or up. You should be making curved gentle swipes. You will likely need more than one tissue to do this. Make sure to get all of the toothpaste off. If you don't think that it is all coming off take a new tissue and get it slightly damp. Maybe just sprinkle a little water on the corner of the tissue. Then use this to wipe it down a little more.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be sure and spread the toothpaste out very thin. There should not be any lumps or depth to it. It should not be any thicker than a piece of every day computer paper.
  • DO NOT USE TO MUCH WATER!
