Things You'll Need:
- Paper
- Pencil
- Coupons
-
Step 1
Before you leave the house make a list of everything you need. When you have a list you are less likely to buy things you don’t need. Make your list and stick to it.
-
Step 2
Clip coupons for anything that you buy. You can find coupons online and in your Sunday paper.
-
Step 3
Check the sales that other companies are having. Wal-Mart will match the price from other stores on the same items.
-
Step 4
Buy store brand items. Store brand and name brand items have the same ingredients in them. Store brand items cost less and taste them same.
-
Step 5
Don’t go shopping while you are hungry. When you shop hungry you spend more money
-
Step 6
As you are shopping, pay close attention to the prices and write down what you are spending. If you keep up with how much you spend, you tend to not go overboard.
-
Step 7
While the cashier is ringing you up, pay attention to each item that is rung up. If the price is wrong, Wal-Mart is suppose to honor their agreement to take $3 off any thing that rings up the wrong price. Make sure they do.
