Step 1
Click to enlargeIn order to protect your Microsoft excel worksheet go to TOOLs menu select PROTECTION. From there you should see a menu like the picture on your left.

Click to enlargeFrom there you will be given a series of options that will allow you to protect a Microsoft excel worksheet, workbook or a range on your specific file. As you can see from the image on your left you can get very granular with this.

Step 3
Make your appropriate adjustments and then click OK. You should be prompted to retype the password. Once that is done make sure you save your changes and close the document and reopen it to see if your password took.
