Things You'll Need:
- Coupons
- Sunday paper
- Coupon organizer
-
Step 1
Get your coupons from the Sunday paper. The small fee you pay to receive the paper is covered by the amount you save in using your coupons. Cut out all the coupons for things that you buy, or even might buy. Even if you do not need the item right now, SAVE THE COUPON! This is very important.
-
Step 2
File the coupons in a coupon organizer according to category. This makes it much easier to find a coupon when it is time to shop.
-
Step 3
Bring on the savings. When you are going to use a coupon, pay attention to what size of product that you are purchasing. Use a coupon for the smallest amount of product allowed to receive maximum savings. Use multiple coupons to extend your savings while still buying the amount of product that you need.
-
Step 4
For example, lets say that you need toilet paper. You look in your organizer and find 2 coupons for $1.00 off any size package of a specific brand. Instead of redeeming this coupon for the jumbo pack of 12 rolls, use both coupons on a smaller pack of 6. You still end up getting the 12 rolls that you need, but you have just doubled your savings.
-
Step 5
Take advantage of Walmart's price match program. The Sunday paper contains the weekly sale adds for many stores in your area. Find great deals in other stores, and buy that product at Walmart. Just make sure to bring the add with you. When you check out, just show the cashier the add and your price will be adjusted to match that of the other store. Use your coupon on top of this, and your savings will rack up!
