Things You'll Need:
- Tap shoes
-
Step 1
Do four frontward chugs. The dancer does not cover a lot of space when she does these chugs. A chug occurs when the dancer slides her foot to the front on the flat of her foot. This is one time when the dancer is dancing on the flat of her foot which results in a heavy, chugging sound. The dancer chugs right, chugs left, chugs right and then chugs left.
-
Step 2
Do six flaps. When a dancer does a flap she brushes forward on the ball of her foot and then steps down on the ball. Alternate the flaps: Right, left, right, left, right, left.
-
Step 3
Repeat all of the above steps: Four chugs (alternating feet) and six flaps (alternating feet.)
-
Step 4
Do four chugs.
-
Step 5
Execute two flaps.
-
Step 6
Repeat Steps # 4 and 5: four chugs and two flaps.
-
Step 7
Brush back (a spank) on your right foot and step down on your right foot behind your left foot. When you do the spank, point your right foot slightly to the right diagonally, instead of brushing straight back. By back brushing diagonally, your right foot will be positioned behind your left foot, which is where it should be.
-
Step 8
Do a ball-change. Step down on your left foot to the left for the "ball" and then step down in place on your right foot for the "change." When a dancer does a ball-change, she transfers her weight from the ball foot to the change foot.
-
Step 9
Repeat Steps # 7 to 8, starting on the left foot.
-
Step 10
Dig your right heel to the front and then hop on your left foot.
-
Step 11
Step down on your right foot. Repeat Steps # 10 and 11 on the opposite foot: Dig left heel, hop on your right foot and step down on your left foot.
-
Step 12
Step down on your right foot.
-
Step 13
Stamp (put your weight on it) your left foot to the left.
-
Step 14
Combine the steps to the Pink Panther: Four chugs, six flaps, four chugs, six flaps, two chugs, two flaps, two chugs, two flap, back brush step ball-change, back brush step ball change, heel dig, hop, step, heel, hop step, step stamp.
