Online dating has continued to grow in popularity as more and more people are finding their mates through the use of the Internet and online dating sites. Although this is a great idea it is not always as easy as it seems and takes some practice along with learning how to use the services effectively.

1. Determine what you are looking for in the perfect mate as this will help in creating a unique profile.

2. Write your online dating profile that includes not only what you are looking for but your interests and hobbies.

3. Avoid talking about anything negative in your dating profile. It is best to remain positive and pleasant sounding.

4. Put up recent photos of yourself and make sure you are smiling in at least in one photo.

5. Watch out for scammers and shady individuals who request personal information or ask for money. That is what banks are for.

6. Ask your potential date to view them by webcam before meeting each other. This will help to ensure the person looks like their picture. Ask them to wave and say “hello” to you to ensure that the webcam feed is not previously recorded.
