First off, don't rule out your local stores. Many have a diet section that now carries many diabetic items, such as cough and cold medicine, candy and cookies, glucose tablets/gel, and foot care. If you aren't sure where the items are located in your store, ask at the pharmacy or customer service.

Foot care is very important for diabetics. Some favorite sites for me to visit to buy foot care products are http://diabeticfootcare.us/ (lotions) and www.promeddirect.com (inserts and soles).

I also love Bath and Body Works foot care products for keeping my feet well hydrated and callous free. Later I will list some links to stores with diabetic socks.

Cough and cold medications are made in a diabetic friendly manner (most regular formulas contain sugar). These can be found at www.diabetesstore.com or www.drugstore.com. From my own experience and from the experience of my diabetic friends, be prepared for the sugar-free variety to be less tasty than their non-diabetic counterparts.

If you are looking for sugar free candy and/or cookies to satisfy that sweet tooth you have, I suggest visiting http://diabeticfriendly.com/ or http://www.metrocandy.com/Sugar-Free-Candy or you can visit the candy aisle in your local grocery store. Many of them are carrying a larger variety of sugar-free treats than ever before.
