Stir your mixture often and watch it as it will boil over very quickly! As soon as it boils, time it for 2 minutes

While your mixture is heating up, have set aside 3 cups of oatmeal and 1/2 to 1 cup of peanut butter (depends on your taste). Arrange strips of wax paper on a table or somewhere flat for the cookies to be put on after cooking.

As soon as the mixture has boiled for 2 minutes, take it off the stove immediately and add in the 3 cups of oatmeal and 1/2 to 1 cup of peanut butter. Stir rapidly until it is mixed thoroughly.

After mixing thoroughly, you are ready to "drop" them. If you want smaller cookies, use a small spoon, larger cookies use a large spoon. Whatever spoon you use, spoon out the cookie mixture and drop it onto the wax paper. As the cookies dry they will harden then eat...eat...eat!
Oh...and very, very important...lick the spoon when you are done!

    Tips & Warnings

    • If you want to make extra batches, do them separately. I have been making these for years and can never get a good result.
