Grudges are hard to let go, especially when you don't really like the person. You wait for the right time to sock it up to the guy/gal who pissed you off. Even though you have every right to be angry, you ought to let go. Here's how.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A forgiving heart
  1. Step 1
    Grenade

A GRUDGE IS LIKE A GRENADE

You hold a grudge like a grenade, waiting for the right chance to through it back at them. The sad thing is that it might explode before you get the chance to throw it. Learn to let grudges go. They are best when they are not held.

  2. Step 2

A GRUDGE MAKES YOU MISS THE POINT

Your grudge can numb you to whatever good is in the person who offended you. Since everyone makes mistakes, you should let go. I know there are cases where it is extremely difficult. Like the woman who stole your husband or a brother-in-law who beats up your sister. Yet you have to let it go because you cannot afford to be the victim of someone else's inhumanity.

  3. Step 3
    Progress in Man

    A GRUDGE STAGNATES YOUR PROGRESS

A grudge holds you back from moving on. People have held grudges that have lasted for decades. It means there is no way their families can ever reconnect again. Be careful, your grudge can become your children's burden.

  4. Step 4
    Going Away
    Going Away

    A GRUDGE NEVER GOES AWAY

Unless you make a conscious effort to eradicate it, it won't go away. A grudge is like indelible ink on your mind. No one can work on it except you.

  5. Step 5
    Feeling
    Feeling

A GRUDGE CONTROLS HOW YOU FEEL

You cannot allow an insult, a slight or an unkind word rob you of the beauty of the world. There is far too much things to be enjoyed than to dwell on something that cannot be reversed.
Determine to let go of your grudges, in order to enjoy what life has to offer.
