One of the absolute most important features of a great electric can opener is being able to remove the blade and clean it. On some electric can openers the blade always touches the food, and, on the cheapest models the blade isn't remove able and can't be cleaned easily. Look for an electric can opener with a remove able blade, you'll appreciate the convenience and cleanliness.
