Instructions

    • 1

Gather your supplies and put them near your Kenmore Elite 19005 sewing machine. Plug in your machine; turn it on by pressing the power button that is located on the right side of the machine. Locate the embroidery hoop that came with your sewing machine. Get the cotton fabric and stabilizer out, and place the stabilizer on the bottom of the fabric.

    • 2

Take the embroidery hoop and place the fabric into the hoop, securing the fabric and stabilizer with the metal clasp. Set these aside, and load the embroidery thread onto the sewing machine. Press the embroidery button on the machine; it is the second button from the top. The machine will set itself up for embroidery mode.

    • 3

Attach the P foot that came with your machine, and then attach the embroidery hoops with fabric still inside the sewing machine. Turn the knob on the embroidery hoop to your right until you here it click in place.

    • 4

Pick your embroidery design from the available designs on the screen. Go through the designs by touching the arrows on the LED touch screen. Once you have your design, gently touch the design on the LED screen, and the machine will load that design. You will be taken to the computer screen, and from here you can alter the design. It is not recommended to alter the design until you get more experience.

    • 5

Press the start button on the machine, and it will start embroidering. The machine will stop once the design is finished. You will then take the P foot off the machine, and take off the embroidery hoop. Take the design out of it, and gently tear the stabilizer away from the design.

Tips & Warnings

  • Buy tear away or water soluble stabilizer for easy, mess-free designs. Keep your fingers away from the machine when it is embroidering.
