The show desktop icon can be an extremely helpful tool. I often open up a huge number of windows and programs at a time, and rather than going through the hassle of minimizing or closing them all one by one, sometimes I like to just get rid of all of them at once. That's where the show desktop icon comes in handy. However, some versions of windows have hidden the show desktop icon. Luckily, there is a quick and easy way to restore it. So what are you waiting for? Let's get started!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Boot up your computer.

  2. Step 2

Drag your mouse just to the right of the start button in the bottom left-hand corner of your screen.

  3. Step 3

Right click. A menu should appear. At the bottom of the menu, select "properties".

  4. Step 4

Check the box that says "Show Quick Launch."

  5. Step 5

Voila! The show desktop button should now appear right next to the start button in the bottom left-hand corner of your screen.
