How to Share Your Flip Video Movies

The Flip Video camera is a compact camera that records up to 60 minutes of video, depending on which model you have. It comes with easy-to-use software that allows you to create movies and DVDs, take snapshots from your video clips and share them with friends, family, and even the world via video-sharing sites. Things You'll Need

• Email account
• YouTube, MySpace or AOL Video account (optional)

Instructions

How to Email Videos

1. 

   Launch the Flip Video Software.

2. 

   Select "Email" from the "Share" menu at the bottom of the screen.

3. 

   Fill in the information required (name, your email, the email of the person you're sending the video to and so forth) and drag the video clip or clips you want to send.

4. Click "Share" when you're done.

How to Send a Video Greeting Card

1. 

   Select "Greeting Card" from the "Share" menu at the bottom of the Flip Share program window.

2. 

   Select what kind of card you want to use to frame your video. You can select holiday themes, birthday, wedding or other frames to personalize your video. Click the "Next" button when you've selected your theme.

3. Drag the video clip or clips you want to add into the window. You can preview the card in the "Preview" pane of the window. Click "Next" when you're done or "Back" if you want to change anything.

4. 

   Fill in the information in the next field with your name, email, emails of the recipients of your video card and a message. Click "Share" when you're done.

How to Share Your Videos on the Web

1. 

   Select "Online" from the "Share" menu at the bottom of the Flip Share window.

2. 

   Choose which service you want to use to upload your video. Flip Share can send your video clips to AOL Video, MySpace, YouTube or "Other Web Site." Click "Next" when you've made your selection.

3. Enter in your account information if you selected AOL Video, MySpace or YouTube and click "Login." If you selected "Other Web Sites," this will export your video into a format you can use to upload wherever you wish. You can also create an account for any of the above services directly from Flip Share by hitting the button that says "Create a (blank) account," where (blank) is the name of the service.

4. Follow the instructions on the screen, as each service has a different procedure. When you get to the last step, hit the "Share" button. Flip Video will then send the video clip to the selected service. This may take a while, but it will appear in your account at YouTube, AOL Video or MySpace when the upload is complete.

Tips & Warnings

• You can also select an email address from the Flip Video address book if there are any entries by clicking on the "To" button.
