A really bad hangover - Does it make you feel like this in the morning?

Did you have too much fun the night before and are suffering from a massive hangover? Read on to find some of the best methods of fixing a hangover based on some of the best hangover cures out there.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Coffee
  • Bailey's
  • Water
  • Aspirin
  • Gatorade (maybe)
  • Dry toast
  • Skinless chicken breast
  • Eggs
  1. Step 1

Rinse your mouth out in the morning, then drink about as much water as your stomach can comfortably manage - often it will be about half a glass.

  2. Step 2

Start the coffee machine. Coffee not only gives caffeine to help alleviate the headache, but the warm liquid can be soothing in the morning and it can help fix a hangover. If you have time (i.e. you're not driving anywhere) you can use the Bailey's to make an "Irish Coffee," one of the most popular hangover cures out there. The hangover is at its worst the moment all the alcohol has been processed so getting a little Bailey's in with the coffee can help alleviate your morning hangover.

  3. Step 3

Take two aspirin with a little bit of water, even if only a couple small sips is all you can comfortably handle.

  4. Step 4

Take a hot shower to fix your hangover. Not mildly hot, but build it up until it is one of those great sauna steam showers, and let the water especially run down you head, and the back of your neck, for extended periods of time. For many, this is the most effective way of curing morning hangover headaches and pain.

  5. Step 5

Have a breakfast that is preferably high in protein and has fat, but isn't greasy. Most often this can mean scrambled eggs and fried (or baked, though frying is faster) pieces of boneless skinless chicken breast. The food not only helps, but the protein and fat are some of the best things to eat to cure a morning hangover.

  6. Step 6

Have another cup of coffee. Feel free to make it an Irish Coffee if you're not going anywhere. By now the food, aspirin, water, and shower should really be helping to cure your hangover.

  7. Step 7

Drink water to cure your hangover headache. As much as you can without upsetting your stomach, even if that means just tiny or small sips every ten minutes throughout the morning. The biggest part of hangover pain is dehydration, so to fix or cure a hangover, you need to dehydrate.

  8. Step 8

(OPTIONAL) If your stomach is feeling really strong, but the rest of you is still kind of "blah" then a sports drink like Gatorade or Powerade can help cure your hangover. But be careful - with some people their bodies just hate sports drinks when hung over and they'll just throw it up.

Tips & Warnings
  • Just a touch of salt on the scrambled eggs. Dehydration uses salt and water, so a touch of salt can help.
  • You can mix and match these as you see fit. Don't shovel down a breakfast if your stomach is just really queasy.
  • Next time remember clear liquors, as long as they are NOT mixed with soda, give the least painful hangovers.
  • Aspirin cure the hangover the day after. NEVER take aspirin while drinking or drunk.
  • Don't drink Irish Coffee and drive. Just don't.
  • The caffeine from soda might help the headache, but it's rough on the stomach and isn't advisable for a early morning hangover cure.
