The beauty of using a stick blender is that it's so incredibly easy! As shown in the photo, you can easily blend soups without having to dump the entire pot into a blender and then pour it back into the pot again, leaving with with even more to clean, and most likely a mess on the counter. Stick blenders can be used in many more applications as well. Here are some ideas on how to use a stick blender.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Use a stick blender to make quick smoothies! This works best if you are using soft fruits, such as banana and defrosted berries, or canned peaches or pears. Just put what you want in a glass and use the stick blender to mix it up!

  2. Step 2

As previously mentioned, use your stick blender to mix soups in the pot. So convenient! You can also use them at times when you might otherwise use a hand mixer for a short period of time, such as mixing cake batter or pancake batter.

  3. Step 3

A high-powered stick mixer can sub in for a cappuccino machine. Put the stick blender in your latte and watch the foam rise!

  4. Step 4

Get a stick blender with a whisk and use it for quick batches of whipped cream, egg whites and other cooking steps that otherwise would add significantly to the time it takes to make your recipe.

  5. Step 5

If you have a high powered stick mixer that doesn't leave lumps, use it to make your own baby food. Just make sure not to use food that's too greasy or spicy!

  6. Step 6

Are you crafty? You can use a stick mixer to mix up your lotions, soaps, glosses and other products. You don't have to limit yourself to food! Although, if you use your stick blender for crafts, you may want to purchase a separate one for cooking.
