How to Reset a Frozen Zune

Don't throw your new Zune against a wall just because it has frozen up! Here's a quick way to force your Zune to restart.

Instructions

1. Hold down the Back button and the top directional button at the same time for a 5-10 seconds. Your Zune should be reset and ready to play again.

2. If this doesn't work, you might need to erase your Zune. To do this, press and hold the Back button plus the top directional button on the pad then press then hold Back button plus the right directional button on the pad plus Play. Now you'll have to reload your music on your Zune.

3. As a last resort, you can reformat, which will require that you connect your Zune to your computer in order for it to be usable again. To format, press and hold the Back button plus the top directional button on the pad then press then hold Back button plus the left directional button on the pad plus Play button.
