Stop the Motor Mouth on Facebook without Removing a Friend

Is there someone in your community of friends who just talks too much? There's an easy way to end the senseless chatter without removing a friend from your community. Below are 3 easy steps to Facebook harmony.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A Computer
  • A Facebook Account
  1. Step 1

Login to your Facebook account and go to the HOME page. Make sure you're in the News Feed tab. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page to find the link that says "OPTIONS FOR NEWS FEED"

  2. Step 2

Once you've seleted the OPTIONS FOR NEWS FEED link, notice halfway down the page where it says "LESS ABOUT THESE FRIENDS." Type the names of the people you want to quiet in the area provided.

  3. Step 3

Further customize your communications by adding names of people you want to hear more from. Also, you can customize by showing more or less of specific types of communication. This will end your frustration with that Facebook friend who just won't shut up!

Tips & Warnings
  • Following the same steps, add names of people you like to hear from.
  • In addition, customize the communication types to attain a greater enjoyment from your Facebook experience.
  • Just because you're not hearing from that person anymore, it doesn't mean they can't hear you. Be sure not to write an unkind message about them that they might see.
