Langostinos (also known as langostines) are related to the lobster. For a delicious twist on a traditional lobster dish, try making a platter of langostino nachos. Besides their cheddar biscuits, this is one of Red Lobster's most popular menu items.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Langostinos (you can substitute shrimp)
  • Tortilla chips
  • cheddar cheese
  • Monterrey jack cheese
  • tomoatoes
  • green onion
  • jalapenos
  • salt
  • pepper
  1. Step 1

    Chop the tomatoes and set aside.

  2. Step 2

    Chop the green onions and set aside.

  3. Step 3

    Chop the jalapenos and set aside.

  4. Step 4

    Boil the langostinos or shrimp in a sauce pan filled with water, salt and pepper.

  5. Step 5

    Let the langostinos or shrimp boil for about 1 minute.

  6. Step 6

    Remove from stove and drain in a colander.

  7. Step 7

    Preheat your oven's broiler.

  8. Step 8

    Spread the tortilla chips on a cookie sheet.

  9. Step 9

    Sprinkle cheddar and jack cheeses over the nacho chips.

  10. Step 10

    Sprinkle the langostinos or shrimp over the layer of cheese.

  11. Step 11

    Top with chopped tomatoes and green onion. Add jalapenos to taste.

  12. Step 12

    Place in broiler until cheese begins to bubble.

  13. Step 13

    Serve immediately out of the oven. They'll be hot, but if you let them sit too long, they will go soggy.
