Step 1
The bank is the safest place for your money.Use the bank. What's in your bank can't be stolen by random events, and you can't accidentally spend what you're not carrying. Collect your interest first thing every day, and then just withdraw what you'll need for the day or for a specific purchase.

Fast paced, high-paying games are the best.Games are the main money-making resource on Neopets. Most of the games, however, aren't worth the trouble. Play games give a lot of NP for each game point scored or build up a lot of points quickly. The best games do both- Meerca Chase is a very fast paced game that gives 1.5NP for each game point, and Faerie Bubbles is easy to learn, and you can build up a high score in just a few minutes, while still being able to look away from the screen without dying. When you're trying a new game, play it a few times without sending your score to see how high a score you can get. Then, don't send anything below that; this will make sure you get as many NP as possible out of the scores you send. Pick two or three games that you can get good scores on reliably, and play them every day.

Playing the Stock Market can mean big profits.Get rich on the Stock Market. When you have some NP built up in the bank, go to the Stock Market (listed under Board Games on the Games Page) and invest. The Snowager can give away some very valuable items.Know where to go. Many of the daily events and games on neopets aren't worth the hassle. The Snowager, which is open from 6-7 AM, 2-3PM, and 10-11 PM every day, can give out some very valuable items for free. The Qasalan Expellibox, also free, can also give out good prizes. The Wheel of Knowledge and the Wheel of Excitement cost NP to spin, but often give prizes that are worth more than the fee. Visit each of them every day.

Step 5
Price your items lower than anyone else.Sell what you don't need. If you don't need an item, put it in your shop. Use Shop Wizard to find out what the lowest price is for that item, and price yours lower. If it doesn't sell within a few days, mark it down until it does sell. Keeping prices too high just guarantees that you won't make any money.

The Neolodge provides comfy, affordable upkeep.Keep costs down. Instead of buying expensive food for your neopets, feed them omelets- free every day on the Tyrannian plateau- or, better yet, put them in the Neolodge. The Neolodge is located in Neopia Central. Choose Cockroach Towers and for only 5 NP a day, your neopet's hunger will be kept at "bloated." You can sign up for up to 28 days at a time. If your pets are wounded or sick, first go to the Healing Springs for a cheap cure. Don't waste your time on Faerie Quests; they are rarely worth the time and expense.
