How to Make Delicious and Easy Lemon Bars

Sometimes you just have a craving for that little sweet taste, and what is better than a homemade lemon bars fresh out of the oven? Here is a simple recipe to satisfy that craving. They are super easy to whip up a batch or two.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup confectioner sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons flour
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 8x8-inch baking pan
  1. Step 1

    First, collect all your ingredients, and set them out to get ready for your preparing, mixing, and baking.

  2. Step 2

    Second, cream 1 cup of butter, and 1/2 cup of confectioners' sugar, then stir in 2 cups of flour plus a pinch of salt to make the crust.

  3. Step 3

    Next, press the crust mixture into an 8x8-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Make sure you don't overbake, and allow it to cool.

  4. Step 4

    Finally, combine 2 eggs, 1 cup of granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons of flour, and the juice of a lemon. Pour over the crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes until set.

  5. Step 5

    Allow your lemon bars to cool, and sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. Cut into squares, and store in the refrigerator for your enjoyment.

Tips & Warnings
  • Spice it up by adding some coconut flakes
  • Mix in a few blueberries to change it up
  • Double up your lemon filling to make double-lemon bars
