Are you sick of your ferrets mess? Ferrets may be mischievous, but they are trainable!

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1
    Ferret Litter Box
    Ferret Litter Box

Ferrets are often separated early from their mothers and do not learn to use the litter box until they are trained. They are very clean and tend to keep their mess away from their food. If you see they tend to use the same corner often, place a litter box there. You can buy a ferret litter box especially made for corners in almost any pet store.

  2. Step 2

Use a dust-free litter and place one box in the corner of their cage. Once the ferret becomes comfortable using the litter box, you can place at least two in the room they have free roam of. Surround the area with newspaper for any accidents.

  3. Step 3

Scoop the litter box daily and clean with a dish detergent at least once a week. Remember to save a little bit of the mess to put back in the litter box, as ferrets will continue to use the same place. Be persistent and good luck!
