Things You'll Need:
- Different sized wrenches
- Wheel bearings
- Four 5-inch balloon tires
- Tire axles
- Bindings
- Spacers
- Hardware
- Dirtboard deck
- Two-stroke motor with starter
- 1-liter fuel tank
- Soldering tool
- Drill
-
Step 1
Fasten the wheel bearings and spacers to the 5-inch balloon tires to allow for smooth movement once attached to the dirtboard.
-
Step 2
Attach tires with bearings and spacers to the wheel axles after making sure the axles have the proper length for your dirtboard deck.
-
Step 3
Drill holes into the dirtboard deck with a drill to create anchors for the wheel axles if your dirtboard deck doesn't already have the holes.
-
Step 4
Using the hardware and wrenches, attach both wheel axles to the bottom of your dirtboard deck.
-
Step 5
Fasten bindings to the top of the dirtboard deck to ensure the proper positioning for your feet, being sure to allow room at the rear of the dirtboard for the motor.
-
Step 1
Solder the motor and fuel tank to the back of the dirtboard deck, or drill hardware into the deck to create a platform on which to fasten the motor.
-
Step 2
Properly connect the starter to the motor and ensure the cord is not tangled or looped underneath the dirtboard wheels.
-
Step 3
Fill the fuel tank with fuel, being sure not to overfill the tank to prevent gas leaks.
-
Step 4
Mount the dirtboard, fastening your feet into the bindings. Press the starter (or pull the rip cord, depending on the type of starter you have selected for your motor) to rev up the motor. Your motorized dirtboard is now ready for riding.
