How to Become Famous

So, you want to become famous...it's really not that big of a stretch and is an act pursued by thousands of people every day. It's also not something limited to the entertainment industry either, as there are famous folks in pretty much every area. The article below provides some ideas on how you can become famous.

1. Be the best at something...preferably something in your field or area. Sure, you may decide to become the best nuclear physicist in the world, but if you have no desire or drive to push for that title, chances are you won't become famous for it. Choose an area that you enjoy and research it. Learn all that there is to know about it. Find out who the top runners are in your area and strive to surpass their accomplishments.

2. On the other hand, you can apparently become famous if you are the worst at something. In 2003, William Hung auditioned for American Idol and was considered one of the worst. Since that time, however, he has gone on to record multiple albums, appear on numerous television shows, and still has a nice following to this day.

3. Being the first to do something is a surefire way to becoming famous. Get that creative spark in gear, find something that has never been done (or invented) and be the first to do it.

4. Go after what seems to sell. In other words...cash in. A good example is the number of “reality” shows that seem to be so popular lately. Personally, I don't see anything talented or unique in most of them. Regardless, their faces are sprawled on oodles of entertainment web sites and magazines. If reality shows don't float your boat, take a look at some headlines to see what is popular nowadays and look at ways to make your famous contribution!

5. Doing something out of the ordinary will also help you become famous. This method has a tendency to be much more broad as “out of the ordinary” can range from something that is exceptionally generous to something that is way out in left field. You could make a massive donation to a particular cause or you could be the next to stage an “I captured bigfoot!” scandal.

6. Pray for sheer luck! Yes, being in the right place at the right time is another method to becoming famous; however, it isn't something that can be planned or worked towards.

• Don't give up hope! Sure, there are a great many number of people who seek fame, but you can reach it if you have the drive and motivation.
