Whipping cream

Nothing tastes more delicious on desserts or as a part of them, as fresh whipped cream. This easy to make and can be made quickly. Here are some simple tips to making the best and fastest whipped cream. Cold is the key to great whipped cream and one made with less mess.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • heavy cream
  • icing or confectioners sugar
  • vanilla extract
  • whisk and metal bowl or electric mixer and metal bowl or stand mixer with whisk attachment
  1. Step 1

Place the cream in the bowl you will be beating. Place it in the freezer for 5 minutes.

  2. Step 2

Once removed from the freezer, begin beating it immediately. Note that when cream is cold, it beats very quickly; about one minute by hand and less with a stand mixer and more with a hand mixer. If you want stiffer peaks, it will take more time and soft peaks.

  3. Step 3

Sweeten using confectioner’s or icing sugar for a grit free whipped cream and one with more lift as there is cornstarch in this type of sugar.

  4. Step 4

For added flavor, add in ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract per one cup of cream, prior to whipping
