Things You'll Need:
- Comb with wide spaced teeth
- conditioner
- olive oil
-
Step 1
Wide tooth comb.Never brush your hair immediately after shampooing, while it is still wet. Brushing your hair while it is wet stretches it and makes it weak, weak hair is prone to breakage. Wait until your hair is dry. If you must remove tangles while your hair is wet, use a comb with wide spaced teeth.
-
Step 2
Condition.Condition your hair after each washing. I cannot stress this enough. Use a good quality conditioner, it doesn't have to be expensive. My favorite is Pantene Pro V. I have tried many brands and many different price ranges, but Pantene works the best for my hair.
-
Step 3
Olive oil works wonders.Once a month apply a deep conditioner to your hair. I use a home remedy. Saturate your hair with olive oil, wrap it in a moist hot towel, for about 30 minutes to an hour. You could also pile the olive oil coated hair, on top of your head and cover in plastic wrap, for 30 minutes to a hour. Wash and condition, when done.
-
Step 4
Heat damages hair. The use of blow dryers, hot rollers and curling irons will dry out your hair. Dry hair leads to split ends and hair breakage. Let your hair dry naturally whenever possible.

on 1/4/2009 I'm always in such a hurry and forget that golden rule of not brushing your hair when its wet with anything but a good comb. I'm always looking for some tips for my curly thick crazy hair. Thanks.
