For many people, a facial is a beauty necessity, not only improving the texture of the skin but leaving you feeling refreshed. In this tough economy, many people are skipping spa treatments and facials to focus on more important bills. Your beauty regime need not suffer, you can give yourself a cheap facial at home. In this article, we will learn how to do a facial at home to improve your skin and save money.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Milk of Magnesia
  • Terrycloth washcloth
  • Warm water
  • Mild facial soap
  • Two cucumber slices
  1. Step 1

To begin your facial, start by washing your face as usual, using a mild soap and warm water. Leave the washcloth on your face for a minute at this point of your facial, soaking in the steam from your washcloth to loosen dry skin. Gently use circular motions on dry areas with a terrycloth washcloth to exfoliate, and rinse soap well.

  2. Step 2

Slather on a heavy layer of Milk of Magnesia onto your skin, avoiding eye and mouth areas for the second step of your facial treatment. Milk of Magnesia makes a fantastic facial mask, as it refines and smooths your skin, leaving behind a healthy glow. Leave this facial mask on while moving to the next step of your facial.

  3. Step 3

Place two cucumber slices over your eyes to tighten the skin around your eyes and reduce any puffiness. Lay back for twenty minutes or so, letting the Milk of Magnesia facial mask and cucumbers do their magic while you relax. When your facial mask feels dry to the touch, gently scrub away and rinse all residue with warm clear water.
