An indoor garden is great for any time of year. Learn how to plant this type of garden with your child for spectacular results.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Warm, sunlit room
  • Plastic seed boxes with soil
  • Water
  • Bigger pots when ready for transplant
  1. Step 1

    Indoor gardens can be planted any time of year and only need a warm, sunlit place in your house to get going. Start with a box to place the soil in or use different plastic seedling containers lined up on a pan.

    Get the soil in the pots or box. Make sure the soil is free of debris.

    Let your child help you pick out which plants to grow. Herbs are especially good for indoor gardens.
