Step 1
Your carry-on luggage should include the following: Passport, cruise ticket and flight tickets, medications, sunglasses, one change of clothes, water, snack food, ipod MP3 player (or other personal radio), camera and extra memory card and batteries, video camera, cell phone (many cell phones will work in the Caribbean - contact your service provider to find out if yours will work, calls from the ship will be very expensive), book or magazines.

Step 2
Suitcase should include: swimsuits, formal wear for dinners, disco clothes, travel tote bag for ports of call, casual wear, sandals, sneakers, dress shoes, hats, jewelry, underwear, bras, pajamas, lounge wear, athletic wear (today's ships have more than just a gym for fun!), make-up, eyeglasses, contacts, contact solution, contact case, snorkel gear.

Step 3
Your person: Emergency medications, identification, eye glasses, money, credit cards, travellers checks and ATM card. If you wear a medic alert bracelet, be sure to wear it!

If you used a travel agent, be sure to keep the name and phone number handy of your agent incase of emergency travel plan changes.

Give your family or friends a copy of your itinerary including the name of your cruise ship so that you may be reached in an emergency.
