Things You'll Need:
- Bible
- Pen
- Paper
-
Step 1
Peaceful SpotFIND A PEACEFUL SPOT
Location is important to a successful quiet time. You can use the men's room if it is difficult to get a spot. Or you can go to the quietest place in your house or office. Enter His gates with thanksgiving in your heart. Let the peace around you and in your heart be the platform of praise to God. -
Step 2
WritingJOURNAL YOUR THOUGHTS
Write down whatever comes to your mind during your quiet time. Those are insights that are dropped into your mind as you read the Word. Do not discount them. Go back to them during the day and read them over and over again. -
Step 3
MeditatingMEDITATE ON GOD'S WORD
Hold every word to your present circumstances. It is up to you to believe what God is saying or what circumstance is yelling at you. The battle is being waged and it is for your allegiance. Trust God to be God over everything, including your problems. -
Step 4
FriendsTALK TO GOD LIKE A FRIEND
God is our Creator and Father. He is also our Friend. You have to go to God as a man goes to his best friend. There are no secrets, only sincerity. God knows what you want before you ask him. -
Step 5
PeaceLET EVERY OTHER MOMENT IN THE DAY BE QUIET
You have to still in the day and know who is the Creator of day and night. Things may not go the way they should but that does not redefine God. Make Him Lord and King over your day and you shall see His Mighty Hand at work in your life.
