Make Wedding Favor Boxes

Everyone wants the most memorable wedding! And sometimes our budget limits our options. Here is a way to make custom favor boxes that look expensive.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Design Software
  • boxes
  • ribbion
  • tagges
  • any other crafty items
  1. Step 1

First you need to know what will go in your boxes so you can choose the proper size. Pillow boxes are always a soft elegant touch and easy to decorate. If you have larger favors or a Christmas theme, square boxes work great.

  2. Step 2

Once you have decided on your box size and shape you want to buy them for the most reasonable inexpensive price. Look at Uline.com packaging supplies or bagsandbowsonline.com. (they sell box by the 100 for around $27-$40 per case) They also come in all colors and shapes.

  3. Step 3

To decorate your boxes to match your wedding theme think creatively. You can use ribbon and tie a bow. You can print a pattern out on sticker paper cut it out and stick it to the box. Print out a monogram on your home printer, cut them out and tie or glue them to the box. Sticker paper is cheap and you can get 6 to 10 design elements per sheet making your money go far. Ribbon can be bought very cheaply as well.

  4. Step 4

Envision the overall look of your event and how you custom made boxes will fit in and have fun with it. Your guests will appreciate something you made for them.

Tips & Warnings
  • When making your own favors make sure to be patient so you achieve the outcome you desired.
  • Always check to see if shipping is outrageous, this is where many companies get you for more money.
