Restoring marble is a cheap and effective way to make old marble look new again. Remodeling a counter top or floor can cost hundreds of dollars, but restoring it gives your surface the same glossy finish as when you first purchased it.

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    You will want to flatten the floor/surface. With this step, you will want to grind and level the floor/surface. Flattening removes any rough patches on your surface. Any stains and scratches can also be removed with flattening.

  2. Step 2

    Next you will want to begin honing. This will not only provide smoothness, but it is what gives your marble that glossy appearance. This brings more shine to the marble.

  3. Step 3

    Polishing the marble surface will take place next. This will aide in the glossy appearance and provide extra shine.

  4. Step 4

    The last step is crystalizing your surface. It is one method of marble surface finishing. This step helps keep the brightness and color of your marble.
