Things You'll Need:
- Nearby tree Recycling
- A pond
- A backyard
- Birds, and squirrels
-
Step 1
RECYCLE THAT TREE
To safely dispose of that now brown, needle shedding menace of a tree in your home, RECYCLE that tree. Take your brown tree to an area recycler and have them do the job. Hey, it's better than leaving it on the back deck until next Christmas! -
Step 2
THROW IT IN A POND
Take that needle casting menace and throw it in the nearest pond. Don't everybody do this because then we'll have a mess on our hands. But, if several people take that old tree and throw it into an area pond, fish and turtles can use the tree as a new home. They can hide here away from hungry anglers and have a new place to frolic in. -
Step 3
PUT IT IN THE BACKYARD
Place your old Christmas tree in a corner of the backyard. What a great way to recycle your tree, by letting it go back to nature! Area animals can have a great new home to shelter them against the cold, raging winds of winter. Neighborhood birds, chipmunks and squirrels will have a new home to live in, while your tree takes refuge in your backyard. -
Step 4
CUT IT DOWN
If you or a neighbor owns a woodchopper, you've got it made. Make small pieces of wood for your entire neighborhood by chopping down everyone's Christmas tree. Every neighbor will have new mulch to spread and protect their bushes and trees. -
Step 5
THROW IT OUT
Put that old tree out at the curb and let the town or city take care of it. Many towns will recycle your old tree and reuse that bark for mulch. So that's what your taxes are going for! -
Step 6
USE IT IN YOUR BACKYARD.
You can always saw the tree into smaller pieces and place it lovingly around your front and back yards. Hey, it's a thought anyways! Eventually nature will take its course and recycle your tree the best way possible---naturally.
