Do you ever feel like you are going into a slump? Or having back-to-back frumpy days? Before you completely slip into your slump and avoid getting depressed, check out the following tips.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Shower in the morning. A shower early in the morning helps wake you up and feel refreshed.

  2. Step 2

Always have your nails done. Both hands and toes. make sure they are filed evenly and smooth looking. If you do not want a color on your nails use a clear nail polish instead.

  3. Step 3

Do your hair and makeup. You do not have to go board, especially if you are not going anywhere. If you put a little blush and mascara on (on stay at home days it is okay to skip the foundation) and give you hair a little curl. This will make you feel much better than you would if you had thrown your hair up in a ponytail.

  4. Step 4

Name brands. I know, you are pinching pennies. bit try not to on hair care products. If you always see the store brand shampoo every morning, you are reminded that you are always trying to be frugal. I did this and it worked. Don't ask, but it did.

  5. Step 5

Stand tall and smile. Even if you are alone. By simply adjusting your posture and adding a smile, you will instantly feel better.

  6. Step 6

Scents. If feeling blue, spray a room deodorizer that is citrus scented. Citrus scents spark happiness in our minds. I always burn an orange scented candle. Subtle enough and works.

on 1/7/2009 Some great pointers to remember. I often call the lipstick/mascara days my placebo days. It gives the falsehood that I made the effort. ;)
