One of the perks of the Wii is the ability to be able to play games from Nintendo's past system called the Gamecube. I use it to play Resident Evil 4, and its handy to have! If you want to learn the couple steps you need to take to play your Gamecube games on the Wii, then read on!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Grab your Gamecube game of choice, and a Gamecube controller. Now make your way over to the Nintendo Wii.

  2. Step 2

Once you are together with the Wii, open up the top (there is a removable panel) which reveals plug ins for your Gamecube controller. Pick the one showing first player (you can tell by the dots) as well as a spot for your memory card if needed. Then once this is done, slide the Gamecube game into the Wii console.

  3. Step 3

Using the normal Wii controller, go over to your game (where all games appear whenever the Wii loads them) and click on that option to select the game. From here on out the game will play with the normal Gamecube controller.

on 12/29/2008 It is awesome that you can play those on the Wii, but the reverse isn't true. Too bad all games aren't user friendly, would save me bazillions of dollars. Thanks for sharing the knowledge! 5* and recommendation.
