Things You'll Need:
- An alarm device
- A candle or soft light
- A positive statement
- A meditation area
- A desire for something more
-
Step 1
Set your clock for 3:55 AM. Using your cell phone alarm will allow you to change your ringer. Choose a ring that is neither too shocking or too soothing. When your alarm rings, do not delay getting out of bed. Drink a glass of room temperature water to help you wake up. Now, sit in the area that you have prepared for this early morning meditation. Light your candle or turn on a dim light.
-
Step 2
Sitting with your spine erect on your meditation cushion or in a chair, continue to wake the body. Shake your right arm, shake your left arm, shake or squeeze your right leg, now your left. Take in a deep breathe and release. Open your eyes wide and bring your gaze back to normal. Stare at your candle or light.
-
Step 3
Begin reciting a mantra or a positive statement with your eyes open. This positive statement should be something that will benefit you at this point in your life. For example, if you are having financial challenges, chanting "I am financially free" tells the mind that this is your reality. You then begin to attract ideas, people and situations that lead to your abundance. This idea holds true for all areas of your life, including health, relationships, career, fun, personal or spiritual growth.
-
Step 4
After some time with your eyes open, close your eyes. Bring the mantra or positive statement deeper into your being. You may feel warm sensations or an expansiveness in your chest. You may see images or hear advice coming from your higher self. You may find that the chanting has ceased and now you are sitting in the silence. Maybe you choose to following your breaths, in and out. Trust yourself. You will know what direction to take during any given sit.
-
Step 5
When your ending alarm rings, move slowly. If you meditate during other times of the day, you may find that this early morning meditation takes you to a deeper level. Again, take your time transitioning from sitting to standing. Now, pat yourself on the back. You have just done what very few people in the entire world are disciplined enough to do. May this early morning meditation ignite your inner light and guide your life.

on 12/30/2008 OK I will start in the morning at church and commit to 30 days there after, I normally wake around then any way and most morning I am writing, I will just change it around. I write first because I can do that while in the bed this will be a change, looking forward to what shows up.
