on 9/28/2009 I had excellent luck with this recipe as written. It wasn't a soupy mess at all. I did have to flour the counter before rolling out but it was just slightly sticky, not soupy. Excellent recipe. First time we just had biscuits for breakfast. Today we made again flattened it out a bit more to top a casserole. Yummy!

on 8/22/2009 mturner6, I'm not sure what your doing, but it is not the same as me. I even went back and check to see if I had typed the recipe correctly and I have. I made these biscuits just a couple of days ago and they were great. Sorry yours didn't turn out. In fact, if you look around for other recipes for these same biscuits, you will find it is very similar to mine.

on 8/22/2009 These biscuits DON'T work -- the recipe produces a soupy mess - we agree with tbaker902. Fix the recipe or REMOVE IT!

on 6/15/2009 I'm not sure what you could have done. I have made this biscuit recipe many times and it has never turned out doughy....hmmmm. I looked around for other recipes similar to this one and they call for the same amount of flour. Depending on your oven, cooking it might have been an option, but it should have never been "soupy" when the ingredients were mixed.

on 6/15/2009 I was very disappointed with recipe. I followed it and with just 3 cups of flour, I had a soupy mess! I had to continue to add flour just to be able to knead the dough. I was afraid I was adding to much, but even with what I did add, the biscuits were still doughy after more than 15 minutes at 425 degrees. I think the recipe must be wrong.
