-
Step 2
SHORTEN THE ROBE. The Jedi tunic is hip length or below the hip. Put the robe on and put a safety pin at the length you want. Now place a second safety pin 1" below the first. This will be your cutting line. Place the robe on a hard surface, completely open. Measure the distance from the current hem and the cutting line safety pin. Mark with dark chalk or pencil. Cut off the excess. You're ready to hem.
-
Step 3
HEM THE ROBE. If you wish. You can sew it, have the dry cleaners sew it or using duct tape. Remember that you have a 1" hem. so turn the hem under 1". Duct tape into place. Your Jedi tunic is ready.
-
Step 4
THE UNDERSHIRT. The look of the Jedi is always a v-neck. Get a v-neck undershirt and dye it off-white at the same time as the robe. Look for a high v-neck.
-
Step 5
BELT IT. When getting dressed, be sure to cross the front robe panels to create a good looking v-neck. Use a brown belt and put the buckle in the back if it doesn't work with the costume. Remember, the Jedi robe will cover it.
