Things You'll Need:
- car
- friends
- will to have fun
-
Step 1
The counting game: Every person can get the same object or a different object and count them. Who has the most at the end of the drive wins. This can be really fun if the car splits into the "Left Side" and the "Right Side" and count the same objects. The team spirit soars! There are lots of opportunities for jokes and fun teasing if there are two teams.
-
Step 2
Play the ABC Game: This game can get everyone involved easily, and makes completing this game simple. The players start at A and find words on signs that begin with each letter of the alphabet. Q and Z are some of the hardest and the more people looking the quicker the game will be completed.
-
Step 3
Play the Word Game: This is where you have a category (like cities/countries or you could just say no category) and the first person says one word. The next person has to start their word with the last letter of the first person's word. EX: I say dog, you say goat. The next person says tiger, then the next says raven. This game can go on and on especially if there is no category.
-
Step 4
Play the ABC Word Game: This is a game that is a merge of the ABC Game and the Word Game. The players start with A and go through Z. There can be a category, but there doesn't have to be. It is better to have a category. Animal is a common category in this game. The first player says the first word which starts with A, then the next person says the next word which sstarts with B...EX: the cat is animals--First person: Anaconda, second person: bear, third: cat...and it goes on and on until Z.
-
Step 5
Play the Cow Game: This is a common game and has many variations. Usually the car is split into two teams. The Left Side and Right side compete to see who can count the most fields of cows. Each field of cows counts as 1 pt whether there are 576890 cows or 1 cow in the field. Everytime a graveyard/cemetary comes up and a team sees it, they yell "Lost your cows." The team that didn't yell it first, loses all their points and starts at 0.
-
Step 6
Singing: Pop in your favorite CDs and have a blast! It's always fun to go back to the oldies, too.

on 12/29/2008 Let the good times "roll," indeed! Great car games for 9 hr drives. I'd rather give them all nyquil, though and leave at 2am! lol
