Things You'll Need:
- hand or body lotion
- gray hair (or any other color of frizzy, fly away hair)
- your hands
-
Step 1
I learned this little trick from my hairdresser. One day, while staring in the mirror at my newly cut hair, I mentioned my frizzy hair. We both looked and sure enough, I had a dozen or so gray hairs doing the crazy dance from my scalp.
-
Step 2
I asked if she knew of anything to control the frizz besides coloring my hair. I was prepared for her to recommend one of the salon's high-priced hair styling products. In fact, I was almost sorry I'd asked because I hate to spend a lot of money on hair care products that may or may not really work. But then she gave me answer that stopped me in my tracks.
-
Step 3
She said after I apply lotion to my face or body, to rub my hands together to distribute the residual lotion evenly on my fingers and on the palms of my hands. Then she said to lightly apply the leftover lotion to the top of my hair only. She emphasized to just pat my hair with my hands, letting the lotion adhere to the fly away hair but not to the rest of my hair. The less lotion used, the better.
-
Step 4
This really works! And since lotion is readily available (in your purse, free samples at the store, a friend's house), it's easy to control gray hair frizz for pennies, even on the go!
