Things You'll Need:
- water/glycerin based face or hand lotion
- calamine lotion
- instant tea
- talcum powder
- small jar to mix ingredients
- q-tip to blend
-
Step 1
lotion based makeupIn a small jar, squeeze an amount of lotion that approximates the amount of makeup you want to make. Lotion forms the base of this makeup, so what you squeeze is about what you'll make.
-
Step 2
Add a small amount of instant tea to the lotion. Use the q-tip to blend it by breaking off the fuzzy tip and stirring. The instant tea provides the brown pigment for the foundation, so add it according to your skin color.
-
Step 3
Next, add some calamine lotion to give the mixture a pinkish tinge. Since calamine lotion is watery, it will make your makeup mixture more liquid. Don't worry about that though, you can correct it in the last step.
-
Step 4
To make the makeup thicker and to give it more of a matte or satin finish, add enough talc to achieve the desired consistency. Blend everything thoroughly with the q-tip. When it dries, you can apply hypo-allergenic powder or blush to finish.

on 12/29/2008 Wow. I love these kinds of projects. I'm also too fair-skinned for this, but now I'm wondering what would happen if I just used the calamine lotion.
